The Subtle Act of Kindness

She glanced at her companion. The more she waited, the longer it seemed they had waited in eternity. Zarfina grew weary and made a remark to him about the delayed elevator and glanced quickly at his face and saw that familiar look which often reveal a keen moment which often precedes an expression of truth, what perhaps, would pass for an everyday acceptance of things as they are, often would reflect deeper meaning than it appears visibly. Even though she appeared still, the noise of impatience was clearly written all over her. Her companion was quiet and suddenly and quietly, comes a reminder.>He says to her. '' If you want to learn patience ...You must be willing to wait’.>Zarfina knew the destination of any journey is important and even can be beautiful but it is all about the process for if one can get pass the  ''wanting in the waiting'', a lot can be gleaned, mastered and understood during the process. For Zarfina, love constantly flows like an eternal whispering and a knowing  that everything is in its rightful place in eternity "times new roman" , serif; font-size: 12pt;"> They made it to the restaurant for lunch, and she realized she had a few hours to catch a flight, embarking on the  next journey. she suggested they leave to some other restaurant cause there was a bit of delay, the silence from her companion spoke Am I missing something here. . didn’t we just have a discourse on patience?" Finally, after what seemed  like rest point in eternity, they were served lunch, after the meal, she and her companion followed an inner nudge to buy some random person a meal, she has learnt to go with the flow of her intuitions or  nudges, so off they went in a busy street in Manhattan on Broadway, looking for someone who maybe in need of help this way. ">Within a short distance, an elderly man was sitting on a staircase in front of  building, he was dressed like someone  who may have had his share of challenging times. They extended  greetings  and were polite in asking, if he wanted the food .The old man stretched his arms to receive the package, said  thank you. ">The stranger at the doorstep began. " I noticed you from the distance.. You both  radiate  a light  much different  from the other people  walking by It did not come as a surprise that you stopped by and offered this meal, seeing you closer, the light from you is much more  intense. There was such a calm about this man. He reached from under him and showed us his lunch pack
He paused and I could feel the flow of love and gratitude from his being as he said again you are both beautiful but its the beauty of felt humbled and grateful too for his pearls of wisdom. Stranger than fiction but truth is never hidden if the heart is open and willing to know more. She felt her heart dancing in gratitude and embracing the beauty of the moment. >In an instant, they both recognize the truth in an earlier discussion which is reflecting on the happenings in the moment, ''when an ordinary man becomes a sage, he becomes a wise man, but when the sage serves all of life with love , he becomes an ordinary man''. > Zarfina made it on time to catch a flight on her next journey, as she walked the staircase to step inside the plane, the Pilot smiled at her and whispered nicely. Welcome!  You are beautiful!  But all she heard was the old man sitting at the staircase saying to her  ''look to your inner beauty...it is what shines forth".

The Miracle is in the Details...

Izabella had a spatial view from atop the cliff overlooking the flowing river below, from her vantage position she observed  that the rocks  had cut deeply overtime into smaller rounded shapes around the lake, some with flat edges like benches which serves as rest point for travelers going up and down the meandering pathways  up the mountain. She mused quietly observing the scenery and equate it to the many seasons of our lives, the lake becomes an anchor, a rest point, to continue the process, life is always foward moving. She had began to see God as light and love  a force greater but always in the detail of things which brings an awareness, a message that surrounds us at all times, these can be profound warnings, or an assurance of a prophetic nature which comes through a message of some sort; an innocent utterance, from a friend or a stranger, even a child.  Perhaps, that song with beautiful lyrics may just be more than just a song after all. How...

This Thing called Life...

Just being is enough...and we are lovable for just being. The opinions we hold of ourselves or that others have of us is irrelevant, we all are beautifully and wonderfully perfect in God's love. Love is who we are and love is the gift you give yourself and bring to others. When we understand this intricate value of knowing one's true worth...there is a shift, the old axiom no longer stand true, for your neighbour's lawn will always be green or greener but never in comparison with your lawn because you wouldn't trade places, irrespective, hypothetically, the lawn is incidental because one's attention is focused on what matters,  this shift in perception is beautiful, life is not about a race with anyone or how far or faster we are doing than others...everyone walks their own unique journey. We rejoice with others but always content and grateful for our lot  in life. Gratitude is knowing for all my walks and pathways, joys, laughter, pain , loss, failures and ...

Change begins with us, start with compassion and extend this love to others, through, kindness, patience, understanding, tolerance and forgiveness. In these words of Albert Einstein."The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking." ellarandle.blogspot.com
